McHenry Consultants, Inc. (MCI) is a consulting engineering company formed in 1980 by Raymond R. McHenry and Brian G. McHenry. MCI specializes in the investigation and reconstruction of highway accidents which has included the development, refinement and utilization of computer programs.
Raymond R. McHenry, retired, was the principal investigator and analytical developer for CAL-2D, HVOSM, SMAC & CRASH. These programs form the basis for most of the vehicle dynamics, accident reconstruction and occupant simulation models available today. Mr. McHenry has published more than 45 technical papers and 40 technical reports.
Brian G. McHenry has published over 18 technical papers in the field and has
taught and presented at accident reconstruction seminars. In 1998, he was hired
by CBS News to reconstruct the Princess Di accident for the television program
“48 Hours” where he presented results and answered questions in interviews

For over 20 years McHenry Consultants has continued research and development of computer models related to accident reconstruction. McHenry Consultants are experts in the state-of-the art of computer modeling and in particular the following areas: Accident Reconstruction, Vehicle Dynamics, Automotive Engineering and Occupant Kinematics.
McHenry Consultants has investigated and reconstructed over a 1000 accidents
since 1980 and has staff available to investigate and reconstruct any type of motor
vehicle crash including those involving cars, trucks, motorcycles and/or pedestrians.

FEE SCHEDULE

EXPENSES:
Travel,
lodging, meals and other miscellaneous charges (support labor, materials,
computer costs, photographic expenses, long distance telephone, etc.)

PRELIMINARY
FILE REVIEW
Prior
to making a decision to retain our services, a client can request that we
perform a preliminary review of file materials and call to discuss the case
file. File materials should be assembled and sent along with a $800-$1600 check
(depending on amount of file materials, 1/2
day to full day review) for preliminary file review. (File materials include police report,
photos, measurements, any analyses (computer and other), fact witness
depositions, etc.).
RETAINER:
Work
will commence upon receipt of a required $2,500.00
retainer (unless other arrangements have been made) and written
authorization to proceed from client. Retention of McHenry Consultants, Inc. includes
acceptance of the following terms and conditions:
General Obligations
of the Accident Reconstructionist, Software Consultant
o
McHenry Consultants will provide its
best professional judgment in performing accident reconstruction services. No
other warranty, responsibility or liability shall pertain.
o
Services will be provided as per the
FEE SCHEDULE above.
o
McHenry Consultants will provide monthly
statements for services rendered.
o
Any and all amounts due (whether for
file review, report preparation, site/scene/vehicle inspections, depositions,
trial testimony, etc.) shall be the sole responsibility of CLIENT. It is the
CLIENTS responsibility to pay any and all invoice amounts and seek
reimbursement from any third party.
Payments on Account
o
Any inquiry or questions concerning the
substance or content of an invoice shall be made to McHenry Consultants in
writing within 15 days of receipt of invoice. A failure to notify McHenry
Consultants within this time shall constitute an acknowledgement that the
services have been provided and a proper amount billed.
o
Invoices shall be payable when rendered
and shall be considered PAST DUE if not paid within 45 days after the invoice
date.
o
Any overdue invoices past due 90 days
are subject to collection without further notice.
o
The Retainer is non-refundable and will
be applied to the final invoice
Late Payment
o
A service charge will be charged at the
rate of 1.5% (18% true annual rate) or the maximum allowable by the law on any
outstanding balance of PAST DUE accounts.
